Mise en Place

I like to lay out all of the ingredients for my 5 pound holiday fruitcake the night before the assembly. I also measure flour, sugar, chopped nuts, and any other ingredients into their own  Ziploc bags.  I am 97 and it really helps my work if I have all of the pieces of my project clearly in front of me . “Everything in its place: Mise en Place”
